WoW Rogue Macros That Unlock Maximum Effectiveness
Do you want to play your rogue at maximum? Well, if you play this class, you should know by now that its not one of those 1-button classes. In fact, I think its one of the most difficult classes to play. To squeeze every drop of effectiveness from your rogue, its vital to use the optimal keybinding and the proper WoW rogue macros.

In this article Im going to speak a little about rogue macros, about the abilities that must be used in macros. Also, I will underline here, the best solution when it comes to key bindings and WoW rogue macros.

Abilities to macro if you play a rogue

1. Your trinkets and other items. Regardless if you play PvP or PvE, if you have trinkets with “use” abilities, these must be cast along with other cooldowns, for a maximum DPS. Also, if youre an engineer for example, an youre using the “Tazik Shoker” blast on your gloves, or the “Plasma Shield” on your belt, its best to insert these in appropriate macros, to be more effective.

2. Your offensive cooldowns. Since its a DPS class, the rogue has plenty of offensive combat skills with cooldowns. Examples: Shadow Dance, Cold Blood or Vendetta. Fit them wisely in a macros that will improve your damage.

3. Slice and Dice. This is a short duration buff that must be kept up at all time, especially in PvP. It should be part of any rogues PvE rotation, otherwise your DPS will suck big time.

Rogue macro type for PvP

A very important type of WoW rogue macros are the ones for focused target. You cant play arena properly without these. Either if your focused target is one of your team mates, to cast Tricks of the Trade on them, or one of your enemies for Sap and Blind, at least 1-2 “target=focus” macros must be present in your q-bar.

Rogue macro type for PvE

Many elite rogue players use a “castsequence” macro to keep up their rotation in PvE. Without a specific rotation you cannot possibly deal serious damage. Some of the abilities that you must include into your cast sequence are Slice and Dice and Rupture.

Important:
